Onward Christian Soldier
Spirit Realm
No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs—he wants to please his commanding officer. 2Tim 2:4
Our country is at war right now but to most civilians it does not feel like it. For every soldier or family member of a soldier it feels like it. We pray for our troops when the thought crosses our minds but for most of us the reality of the battle is hard to grasp. We are not there. Much like we as Christian because we do get so separated from the spiritual realm with our daily duties we forget the importance of the battle that is going on in the spirit.
2 Corinthians 6:17 (Amplified Bible)So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor,
We must learn to live in a spirit realm to be able to separate ourselves from the worldly. We are all familiar with popular sayings like, you can be so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good, that we begin to accept the myth. I truly believe the more heavenly minded we are the more the spirit can relate to us the things needed for earth. Jesus only did what he saw his Father do. He lived governed by the kingdom of Heaven while on earth.
Hebrews 4:16 (New King James Version) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
It is in God’s throne room that we get the grace and mercy to handle our earthly situations. We need to ask for the counsel of the Lord in every matter.
Song of Solomon 2:15 (New International Version)
Catch for us the foxes,
the little foxes
that ruin the vineyards,
our vineyards that are in bloom
How will we recognize these little foxes unless we are in tune with the Lord. I am so thankful to have a God who cares about every issue in my life and can give me wisdom to live a blessed.
2 Corinthians 2:14 (New King James Version Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
